INSIDE OUT: FACES & PLACES

Rob Miller was spending a week at his homes in Hollywood and the Carolinas between shoots in Mumbai on an unnamed cricket film when he heard of the three days of terror that left more than 150 dead.

He was on the phone throughout that week with executives at Yash Raj Films, India’s largest studio. “They were sensitive, offering me the option to postpone my return. We felt the situation was under control.” From his Mumbai hotel room back in India just a few days after the attacks, he said, “I feel safe. The studio wouldn’t have let me return if there was the slightest danger.” Miller, the CEO of ReelSports, choreographs sports action in films like “Mr. 3000” and “The Final Season.” He did “Miracle” with his former business partner, “one of our proudest accomplishments.” The cricket film is his second Indian film and another cricket film is in pre-production. A 2007 field hockey film, “Chak De! India,” won acclaim for Miller.
